in Honor of Judge Charles A. Francis

WHAT:        Dedication and Retirement Ceremony for Judge Charles A. Francis

WHEN:        Wednesday, March 28, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.

WHERE:      Leon County Courthouse Annex, 1920 Thomasville Rd.

 

Leon County Government will host a dedication and retirement ceremony for the Honorable Judge Charles A. Francis. As part of the ceremony, the Leon County Courthouse Annex will be renamed in his honor on Wednesday, March 28 at 4 p.m. 

Judge Francis has served in various leadership positions in his 18-year long tenure as judge and served 12 years as Chief Judge, the most years served by any Chief Judge in the Second Judicial Circuit Court’s 149-year history.

In December 2017, the Leon County Board of County Commissioners approved naming the current Courthouse Annex building in Judge Francis’ honor.

The dedication ceremony will feature the unveiling of the building, followed by a short reception.
