Leon County Hosts Daniel B. Chaires Park Public Meeting

WHAT:           Public Meeting on Chaires Park Baseball Field Construction

WHEN:          Tuesday, January 30, 2018, from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

WHERE:        Dorothy Cooper Spence Community Center, 4768 Chaires Cross Road

Leon County Government will host a meeting to provide an informational update on the construction of the new baseball field at Daniel B. Chaires Park. Citizens will be presented the plans to the new field and be able to ask questions of County staff and the design team.

The construction of the field is part of the overall 2012 Active Parks & Recreation Facilities Needs Assessment. Improvements have included more parking, additional sidewalks, and a playground. The baseball field is the final major element to go into effect as part of the five-year plan.
