Commissioner Desloge Appointed to Board of Directors for National Civic League

 

Leon County Commissioner Bryan Desloge was recently selected to serve as a board member for the National Civic League, an organization that works to foster community collaboration to build better communities.

The National Civic League applies civic engagement principles through key programs like community assistance, awards and events, as well as research and publications.

“I am eager to share my local civic experience with organizations such as KCCI and the Village Square on a national level,” said Leon County Commissioner and Immediate Past President of the National Association of Counties (NACo) Bryan Desloge. “Serving on this board will provide a platform to help create vibrant and healthy communities all across the nation.”

The National Civic League has recognized Tallahassee/Leon County for projects like Cascades Park that involved community collaboration to transform a toxic waste area into a 24-acre state-of-the-art storm water management facility, disguised as a world class park and amphitheater.

As Immediate Past President, Desloge serves on the NACo Executive Committee and represents more than 3,000 counties across the nation.
