Leon County Offers Hiking Workshop for Seniors

The Leon County Senior Outreach Program is offering a hiking workshop on Wednesday, January 10, from 10 a.m. to noon at Forest Meadows Park and Athletic Center, 4750 North Meridian Road.

A part of the Lifelong Outdoor Pursuits program, the hiking workshop is a fun, educational workshop on hiking safety tips, types of hiking gear, information on local and regional trails and much more. Workshops will include an optional one or two mile hike, so wear athletic shoes and dress for the weather.

The Lifelong Outdoor Pursuits program is offered by the Tallahassee Senior Center and Foundation and Leon County Government. Leon County also funds Senior Center Foundation programs at six County-owned community centers.
