Leon County Lecture Series Set to Inspire Meaningful Conversations

On Thursday, August 24 at 7 p.m., Leon County’s Library Lecture Series returns with "Importance of Crucial Conversations and Accountability" presented by Dr. Stacy Nelson. The lecture will be held at the LeRoy Collins Leon County Main Library, 200 W. Park Ave.

Dr. Nelson’s teaches individuals and organizations how meaningful conversations help to increase organizational effectiveness and achieve bottom-line results. This event is for small businesses, nonprofits, sports coaches and other community leaders that understand that what you say and how you say it are both equally important to inspiring a team.

Dr. Nelson brings more than thirty years of experience in corporate training and serves as a personal coach to many hospitals, educational institutions, and corporate executives. Dr. Nelson has given lectures to a number of organizations including NASA, Disney, BMW, Florida State University, and the IRS.

Leon County has selected speakers and topics that engage and inspire, appealing to the interests of all citizens. Over the course of the year, citizens will have the opportunity to attend lectures on topics ranging from history and culture to sports and science. At each lecture books and materials will be displayed and available for check out.

All lectures are free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be served.
