County Lights Courthouse Red In Recognition of

American Red Cross Month

In recognition of American Red Cross Month, Leon County Government will illuminate the County Courthouse with red lighting the evening of Wednesday, March 1. The lighting will be visible after 8 p.m.

The Capital Area Florida Chapter of The American Red Cross serves Leon County with more than 350 volunteers a year and responds to approximately five emergencies and disasters a week across the region by providing shelter, food, clothing and emotional support at no cost to those in need.

On Friday, March 24, the Capital Area Florida Chapter of the American Red Cross presents its 2017 Red Cross Signature Event, Cocktails & Camo at Flightline Hangar, 3258 Capital Circle SW. This year’s event will serve as the kick off for the 100-year Celebration of Service in the Big Bend.

The Capital Area Florida Chapter of the American Red Cross serves more than 700,000 people in North Florida, within Franklin, Gadsden, Jefferson, Leon, Liberty, Madison, Taylor, Wakulla, Dixie, Suwannee, Lafayette and Hamilton counties.
