County Commissioner Kristin Dozier Appointed To Serve on both National and State Levels

 

Leon County District 5 Commissioner Kristin Dozier has been appointed to serve on committees and boards for the National Association of Counties (NACo) as well as the Florida Counties Foundation (FCF). Commissioner Dozier’s vast board experience will be an asset as she sits on NACo’s International Economic Development Task Force as well as serving as the Vice Chair of the NACo Workforce Development Subcommittee.

“These appointments are an honor and they are also a continuation of my hard work and effort on behalf of the citizens of District 5,” said Dozier. “Economic development has been a top focus of mine for years, and appointments like this will help us learn and share best practices from across the nation.”

Such appointments demonstrate Dozier’s dedication to the community she serves. Dozier currently serves as Chairman of the Big Bend Homelessness Continuum of Care Board and the Community Human Service Partnership Joint Planning Board. Also, she is the Immediate past Chair and current member of the Board of Governors of the Leon County Research & Development Authority and the Capital Region Transportation Planning Agency.

“As her colleagues on the Board know, Kristin is always prepared and well read,” said Leon County Commission Chairman Bill Proctor. “Through her leadership and attention to detail, she will represent Leon County well on both these appointments.”

First elected to the Commission in November 2010, Dozier is serving her second term as a Leon County Commissioner representing District 5. In 2013, she was selected by her fellow Commissioners to serve as Chairman of the Board of County Commissioners for 2013-14.
