Help restore damaged scrub oak habitat by planting select scrub oak acorns.
The effort is easy and you'll see a special remote area of the Royce conservation area!
We'll be moving through an open sandy area and planting acorns collected by Ridge Rangers earlier this fall from scrub oak habitat in other conservation sites. We'll be using hand poles or other tools you can use while standing (you won't need to kneel down to plant the acorns).
The times for both dates are from 9 AM to noon. Meet in the Admin Area parking lot at the Royce Unit, and please be sure to register at the above links so we know you're coming.
