OPEN BURNING RESTRICTIONS NOTIFICATION
The Environmental Protection Commission of Hillsborough County is suspending all active and new open burn authorizations in Hillsborough County due to current weather conditions except for Certified Pile Burners & Air Curtain Incinerators (ACI). This notice is effective immediately, today, May 27, 2022 pursuant to the current open burning restrictions memorandum issued by the Florida Forest Service, Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services. If there is the potential for unfavorable weather conditions to persist, this suspension may be extended beyond today. All businesses with active authorization must continue to contact the Florida Forest Service, 863-940-6701, prior to intended start-up to notify them of their intentions to burn and to check for any restrictions or suspensions that may remain in effect.
