RECLAIMED WATER PROJECT GROUNDBREAKING TO BE HELD IN CRYSTAL RIVER

CRYSTAL RIVER- The Southwest Florida Water Management District and City of Crystal River is holding a groundbreaking event to celebrate the start of a project to transport reclaimed water from the City to the Duke Energy power plant facility in Citrus County. The project will reduce groundwater pumping and wastewater nutrient loading in the Crystal River/Kings Bay springshed. It is being funded by the Florida Department of Environmental Protection, the City of Crystal River, the Southwest Florida Water Management District and Duke Energy.

All activities will take place outside, so wear appropriate shoes and attire.

WHAT:      Crystal River Water Project Groundbreaking

WHERE:   Crystal River Sprayfield

                 7040 N. Citrus Ave.

                 Crystal River, Fla.

The entrance is approximately five miles north of U.S. Hwy 19. Look for the forestry tower near the entrance.
