DEP HOSTING THREE PUBLIC MEETINGS THIS WEEK ON CONSERVATION LAND ASSESSMENT

TALLAHASSEE –The Florida Department of Environmental Protection is hosting three public meetings -- one live in Tallahassee and two webinars -- to inform the public and accept public comment about its assessment of state-owned conservation land.

The purpose of the meetings is to present the scientific process used to assess conservation land managed by state agencies and the results of that assessment, as well to receive public comment. More information about the assessment, the meetings, the preliminary list of potential properties for sale and related documentation is available here.

Visit the state conservation land assessment webpage to register for the Thursday and Friday webinars. Additional public meetings will be held regionally throughout the state in the coming months in order to accept additional public comment. Those meetings have not yet been scheduled.
