DEP NORTHEAST DISTRICT, NORTHEAST FLORIDA REGIONAL COUNCIL, CITY OF JACKSONVILLE TO HOLD FREE USED OIL STORAGE WORKSHOPS
~Workshop to focus on used oil storage requirements and hazardous waste management~
JACKSONVILLE - The Florida Department of Environmental Protection’s Northeast District, the Northeast Florida Regional Council and the City of Jacksonville will be holding a free workshop which will provide information about how to comply with hazardous waste regulations and used oil storage requirements.
The workshop will cover topics that apply to most types of businesses that may generate potentially hazardous waste. Businesses will learn useful information on how to manage their hazardous waste in a cost-effective and legal manner. Common regulated wastes include used oil and filters, anti-freeze, solvents, rags, paint wastes, lead-acid batteries, dental amalgams, fluorescent tubes and high intensity light bulbs containing mercury.
