Jennings Bluff Geological Designation

Explore the Dead River Swallet on the Jennings Bluff Tract.

After the designation ceremony, Florida State Geologist Harley Means will lead a short walk to the Dead River Swallet, where he will answer questions and discuss the unique karst geology of the area.

This conservation land is managed by the Suwanee River Water Management District.

Although the .37-mile hike will be brief, attendees are encouraged to bring water, sun protection, walking sticks and comfortable shoes.
