The Florida Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) invites you to attend a workshop on wetland permitting.
It is important to determine if wetlands are present before you buy or build on a piece of property because certain activities in wetlands are regulated by DEP and the Army Corps of Engineers (ACOE) and may require state and/or federal permit approvals. Environmental permits help minimize potential environmental disruption as a result of common human activities.

About DEP's Monthly Meet-Ups
Monthly Meet-Ups are FREE and held the first Wednesday of each month. Time and location are usually the same.
These meetings allow the Department to improve its communications with the regulated community. Through this program, attendees can learn, update and share information. Guest speakers provide opportunities to discuss current issues affecting Florida.
The department's mission is to protect, conserve and manage the state's natural resources and enforce its environmental laws. Attend a meeting to learn how we can protect Florida together!
