DEP Hosts Sixth Blue-Green Algae Task Force Meeting

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The Florida Department of Environmental Protection is hosting the sixth meeting of the Blue-Green Algae Task Force.The key focus of the Task Force is to support funding and restoration initiatives, such as prioritizing solutions and making recommendations to expedite nutrient reductions in Lake Okeechobee and the downstream estuaries.

This meeting will consist of public comment and final action on the first Task Force Consensus Document. The agenda is available on the Task Force website. The final draft of the Consensus Document will be made available on the website later this week.
