Call for Public Comments for Florida's Statewide Comprehensive Outdoor Recreation Plan (SCORP)
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The Florida Department of Environmental Protection’s Office of Park Planning is accepting public comments on Florida’s Statewide Comprehensive Outdoor Recreation Plan (SCORP).
The Statewide Comprehensive Outdoor Recreation Plan is Florida’s official planning document for outdoor recreation. The five-year policy plan provides recommendations for communities, businesses and organizations to meet the recreation demands of Florida’s diverse and growing population. The plan offers detailed information regarding recreational participation opportunities, along with economic information at the statewide, regional and county levels for a broad range of outdoor recreation activities.
The draft plan and appendices are available online. The public is invited to submit comments to the Office of Park Planning at outdoor.recreation@floridadep.gov until May 3, 2019. For more information on SCORP, click here.
