“I am proud to announce winners of the 2019 Earth Day Poster Contest," said DEP’s Northwest District Director Shawn Hamilton. “This year’s Earth Day theme is 'Protect our Species' and I think these artists did a fantastic job of capturing so many ways we can protect our environment and its species. It is reassuring to see that Florida’s students are learning so much about ways to protect our environment.”
The posters were judged on how well they portrayed the Earth Day theme, artistic merit, originality and neatness. Winners were presented with a certificate and state park pass.
