WHAT: Public Meeting

The public is invited to attend the Florida Coastal Office's public meeting to hear about Lake Jackson Aquatic Preserve, current and future management, and to provide comment on the draft management plan. The draft plan is available for review at http://publicfiles.dep.state.fl.us/CAMA/plans/Lake-Jackson-AP-Management-Plan.pdf. The Florida Coastal Office seeks public comment on the draft. Written comments are welcome and can be submitted by mail to Sherry Carpenter at 3900 Commonwealth Blvd., MS 235, Tallahassee, FL 32399-3000, or by email to FloridaCoasts@FloridaDEP.gov by Dec. 19, 2018.
The management plan focuses on four main issues:
- Water and sediment quality;
- Habitat restoration and resource protection;
- Public involvement; and
- Sustainable public use and access.
