DEP's Florida Geological Survey to Host Open House

~Visit the FGS to learn about the history of Florida's geology~

The Florida Department of Environmental Protection's Florida Geological Survey is hosting an open house where visitors can learn about the fascinating history of Florida's geology. Guests are welcome to enjoy informative talks and interactive exhibits, visit the Walter Schmidt Museum, experience a drill rig demonstration and bring a rock, fossil or mineral for a geologist to identify. FGS also welcomes younger guests and will have coloring sheets highlighting prehistoric life in Florida, as well as Play-doh™ demonstrations that show how fossils form.
