Join DEP in Celebrating National Science Week at Oleta River State Park
~Residents and visitors are invited to participate in family-friendly activities~

The Florida Department of Environmental Protection invites residents and visitors to celebrate National Science Week at Oleta River State Park. The park will be offering activities for kids and families highlighting the importance of science. Activities include:
- Aug. 13, Beach Explorers: Observe sand crabs, fiddler crabs, beach hoppers and more on a scavenger hunt at the beautiful beach.
- Aug. 14, Wild Tots: This nature power hour, aimed at children ages 2 to 6, will explore nature-friendly topics through storytelling and hands-on activities.
- Aug. 15, Wildlife Tracks: Investigate animal tracks, senses and signs through fun hands-on activities and real, live animal tracking.
- Aug. 16, Trash Talk: Learn about the ways you can be a good steward of Oleta by lessening your waste footprint.
- Aug. 17, Ranger-Guided Walk: Join a park ranger in exploring beautiful Oleta River State Park while sharing stories and facts.
