Florida Trustee Implementation Group to Host Public Meeting

The Florida Trustee Implementation Group is hosting a public meeting where citizens are invited to provide comments and learn more about the second phase of the Florida Coastal Access project. The meeting will begin with an interactive open house followed by a formal presentation at 6:30 p.m., and opportunity for public comment on the draft plan.

The Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill Draft Phase V.2 Florida Coastal Access Project: Restoration Plan and Supplemental Environmental Assessment will help provide compensation for a portion of the lost recreational use in Florida caused by the Deepwater Horizon oil spill in 2010. The draft plan is available for public review and comment through Dec. 8, 2017. After the public comment period ends, the Florida Trustee Implementation Group will review, consider and address public comments before releasing the final restoration plan and supplemental environmental assessment.
