State Parks Reopen After Hurricane Nate

~One state park in Northwest Florida remains closed to ensure visitor safety~

TALLAHASSEE, Fla.The Department of Environmental Protection’s Florida Park Service announces that nearly all state parks are open for day use across Northwest Florida following Hurricane Nate. Only one closure remains in place – San Marcos de Apalache Historic State Park in Wakulla County remains closed until further notice.

Visitor safety is paramount in the decision to close and open Florida State Parks during times of severe weather. Additionally, Florida State Parks are in constant communication with state and local emergency operations centers and will close based on conditions and location.
