The property is to be sold via sealed bid “as is”, “where is”.  Offers will be accepted until 12:00 NOON EDT, TUESDAY, JUNE 6, 2017.  Any offer received after that time will be returned to the OFFEROR unopened.  The Department of Environmental Protection is not responsible for bids mailed but not arriving by 12:00 NOON EDT, TUESDAY, JUNE 6, 2017.  All offers received by the offer submission deadline will be publicly opened at 2:00 P.M. EdT, TUESDAY, JUNE 6, 2017.

A minimum acceptable offer of $2,640,000.00 has been set by the State, with a deposit in the amount of $50,000.00 (Fifty Thousand Dollars) due and included in the prospective buyer's offer to purchase the property and is further defined in the offering package. Deposits of buyers who are not the successful buyer of the property will be returned to the offering party.  Any offers for less than the minimum offer amount will be considered counterproposals and will be deemed nonresponsive and rejected.

Note: *Each offer shall be accompanied by an earnest money deposit (hereinafter referred to as the "Deposit") in the form of a certified or cashier’s check or irrevocable letter of credit from Page 3 of 9 DSL-ITO-17-007 Contract No. 32915 a financial institution as defined in Section 655.005, Florida Statutes, made payable to the State of Florida Department of Environmental Protection in the amount of fifty thousand and no/100 dollars ($50,000). If the successful OFFEROR’s planned use of the property requires rezoning, said OFFEROR may apply for and pursue rezoning prior to closing. If, no later than 10 days prior to closing, OFFEROR submits written denial of its request for rezoning, $25,000.00 of the Deposit will be refunded. The remainder of the Deposit shall be forfeited to the TRUSTEES. In the event no written denial has been issued 10 days prior to closing, OFFEROR must give written notice to TRUSTEES of OFFEROR’s intent not to close and $25,000.00 of the Deposit will be refunded to OFFEROR with the remainder of the Deposit being forfeited to the TRUSTEES. If no such written notice is received, OFFEROR shall accept the Property as zoned and proceed to closing as if no zoning contingency existed.
