Named in honor of civil rights leaders who led efforts to desegregate public beaches in the 1960s, Dr. Von D. Mizell-Eula Johnson State Park is perfect for a day at the beach or a family picnic. Surf fishing, canoeing, swimming, nature study and boating are just some of the many recreational opportunities available for park visitors. The park features a shore dive to explore South Florida's underwater beauty and two boat ramps with easy access to the ocean through the Port Everglades Inlet.
