MANAGEMENT PLAN

~The public is invited to provide comments on the draft management plan~

St. Martins Marsh Aquatic Preserve

St. Martins Marsh Aquatic Preserve serves as a habitat for a variety of wildlife
including bottlenose dolphins.

DEP’s Florida Coastal Office is updating the management plan for St. Martins Marsh Aquatic Preserve. Citizens are invited to attend a public meeting to review the draft management plan and provide their comments. Public participation and comments are a valuable part of the management plan development process.

Please review the current St. Martins Marsh Aquatic Preserve draft management plan. In addition to providing comments at the meeting, the public is invited to review and submit comments until Oct. 12, 2016, by emailing FloridaCoasts@dep.state.fl.us or by mail:

Spanning over 28,000 acres of sovereign submerged lands, the preserve's natural resource management efforts are designed in consideration of the local and regional environment. Work performed at the aquatic preserve is focused on the overarching principles of ecosystem science, resource management, public-use programs, and education and outreach.
