~Department seeks a concessionaire to provide services at busy state park~

The Florida Department of Environmental Protection’s Florida Park Service has released a call for business plans seeking a concessionaire at Ellie Schiller Homosassa Springs Wildlife State Park. Possible services may include food and beverage sales, merchandise sales and special event offerings.

Interested parties must attend the mandatory onsite meeting to be eligible to submit a proposal. Proposals must be submitted no later than 5 p.m. on June 22.

In fiscal year 2014-15, 319,289 people visited Ellie Schiller Homosassa Springs Wildlife State Park, which features displays of native wildlife and an underwater observatory where visitors can see manatees in the main spring.
