This free Deadhead Logging class offered by the Florida Department of Environmental Protection’s Northwest District will cover the following topics:

• Application process – Learn about each step of the process, what information is required and who to submit the application packet to.

• Regulations that govern logging activity – Learn how other state agencies interact with DEP and how their interests affect logging in Florida waters.

• History of Florida’s logging industry – Dig into the reason deadhead lumber is more valuable today and how nature and humans created this highly-prized resource.
