The Department of Environmental Protection is offering property in Santa Rosa County for sale through competitive sealed bid number DSL-BID-16-003. 

The property is centrally located in Northwest Florida, approximately 7 miles south of the Florida State Line, east of Berrydale, and 1/2 mile from the Blackwater River State Forest.  Rural area convenient to the employment centers of Milton and Pace, Florida.

The property is to be sold via sealed bid “as is”, “where is”.  Bids will be accepted until 12:00 NOON EDT, TUESDAY MAY 24, 2016.  Any bid received after that time will be returned to the BIDDER unopened.  The Department of Environmental Protection is not responsible for bids mailed but not arriving by 12:00 NOON EDT, TUESDAY MAY 24, 2016.  All bids received by the bid submission deadline will be publicly opened at 1:00 P.M. EDT, TUESDAY MAY 24, 2016.

A minimum acceptable bid of $10,500.00 has been set by the State, with a deposit in the amount of 10 percent of the BIDDER’S BID due and included in the prospective buyers bid to purchase the property and is further defined in the bidding package. Deposits of buyers who are not the successful buyer of the property will be returned to the bidding party.
