Local and state officials will gather to canoe or kayak the Zipperer Canal with a park ranger and enjoy other festivities at the park, including entertainment by local musicians.

The 11-mile Buster Island Loop Trail begins and ends by the marina at Lake Kissimmee State Park. The diverse habitat, a part of the headwaters of the Everglades, offers excellent fishing and wildlife viewing opportunities for the quiet and observant paddler.
