DEP TO HOST MASTER DEADHEAD LOGGER CERTIFICATION CLASS

Logging permit holders, potential applicants, logging crew members and anyone interested in Florida’s deadhead logging program are invited to attend a free Master Deadhead Logger Certification Class in Pensacola. The class agenda includes a review of the permitting and compliance regulations and best management practices, as well as an overview of Florida’s logging history.

The Florida Department of Environmental Protection requires a Master Deadhead Logger certification for a permit to recover precut submerged timber from submerged lands under a Board of Trustees Use Agreement. Attendance at one of these sessions is required in order to receive the certification.
