WHITE SPRINGS, Fla. – The Florida Department of Environmental Protection’s Stephen Foster Folk Culture Center State Park is hosting the 63rd Annual Florida Folk Festival this Memorial Day Weekend, May 22 - 24, on the banks of the historic Suwannee River. The festival has once again been named a “Top 20 Event” in the Southeast by the Southeast Tourism Society.

There will be more than 300 performances by Florida’s greatest folk and roots artists, including national recording artists, songwriters and musicians of swing, folk, blues, gospel, country, Latin, jazz, bluegrass, Caribbean and zydeco music. In addition to a full schedule of performances, the Florida Department of State’s Folklife Program will celebrate the diverse cultures of St. Johns County in the Folklife Area.

“There really is something for everyone at the Florida Folk Festival. You’re sure to hear plenty of wonderful music, enjoy tasty food, join a jam session, take a workshop, and do a little shopping, all while paying tribute to Florida’s land, people and diverse cultural heritage,” said Donald Forgione, director of the Florida Park Service.

Feature performers include Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Bing Futch, Frank Thomas, Ben Prestage, Jeanie Fitchen, Billy Dean, Jim Stafford, Sam Pacetti, Belle and the Band, Michael Jordan and more!
