Florida State Watch Office Morning Situation Report

EOC Activation Level: Level 2

Meteorological Summary:

Abundant sunshine and near-zero rain chances can be expected across Florida as we welcome the New Year!
Temperatures trend warmer this afternoon, with highs reaching the middle to upper 60s statewide.
While temperatures remain above freezing tonight, low temperatures in the middle to upper 30s can be expected for the interior eastern Florida Panhandle and Suwannee River Valley.
Isolated pockets of patchy frost possible for elevated and grassy surfaces throughout inland Northeast Florida.
Areas of fog and low clouds possible along the western Florida Peninsula tonight into Friday morning.
Ongoing drought and low relative humidity values will contribute to elevated wildfire conditions statewide.
A moderate risk of rip currents can be expected for most Florida beaches.
