EOC Activation Level: Level 2
Meteorological Summary:
- Another dry and sunny day can be expected across the Sunshine State, with an isolated light shower or two possible along the Treasure Coast and Florida Keys this afternoon (10-15% chance of rain).
- The main weather headline today will continue to be sensitive to elevated wildfire concerns as relative humidity values dip to 30-40% across North Florida and the interior Florida Peninsula.
- While winds will generally remain light statewide (less than 10 mph), ongoing significant drought and extremely dry soils/vegetation can lead to easier wildfire ignitions.
- Fog and low clouds possible tonight into early Wednesday morning across North and Central Florida; the greatest chance for locally dense fog will reside along portions of the I-10 corridor, the Suwannee River Valley, and into the central Florida Peninsula.
- Low temperatures tonight will fall into the 50s across North Florida, with some inland locations potentially reaching the middle to upper 40s.
- There is a moderate risk of rip currents expected for most Florida Panhandle and Florida East Coast beaches, with a locally high risk of rip currents outlooked for Palm Beach County beaches.
