Meteorological Summary:
-
A clear and seasonably cool morning will give way to another sunny and pleasant day across Florida as high pressure remains anchored over the Southeast U.S.
-
A dry airmass will remain in place today, though relative humidities will increase a bit from yesterday across North Florida (40-50% RH values).

Still, the ongoing drought and very dry vegetation across North Florida may lead to locally sensitive wildfire conditions this afternoon.

Relative humidities will approach critical thresholds across parts of West-Central Florida (30-35% RH values), though winds will remain light keeping the overall wildfire threat low.

A few wind gusts upwards of 20 mph cannot be ruled out across Southeast Florida this afternoon.

Highs will climb into the middle to upper 70s statewide this afternoon.

Low temperatures will remain cooler across North Florida, dipping into the lower to middle 40s overnight.

Lows in Central Florida will reach the upper 40s to lower 50s, while South Florida will only reach the upper 50s to middle 60s.

Some isolated patchy fog is possible towards daybreak Friday across the western Panhandle.

A moderate risk for rip currents is expected for the Panhandle and most East Coast beaches today

There is a lingering high risk along Palm Beach County beaches where surf of 2-4' is expected.
