Meteorological Summary:
- An increase in cloud cover can be expected across the Panhandle today in comparison to yesterday as a weak cold front approaches the Panhandle from the north.
- This cold front will remain dry, but a few light sprinkles or brief showers cannot be ruled out later in the day along the Big Bend and Northeast Florida (15-20% chance of rain).
- Ahead of and along the front breezy wind gusts near 15-20 mph will develop into the afternoon, with locally stronger gusts upwards of 25 mph possible.
- Mostly dry and sunny conditions can be expected to persist across Central and South Florida throughout the daytime hours.
- Dry air throughout the interior Peninsula will allow for relative humidity values to fall near and below critical thresholds this afternoon (30-40%).
- With elevated winds and near critical relative humidity values, sensitive to elevated wildfire conditions can be anticipated to develop this afternoon and evening throughout the Peninsula.
- High temperatures will steadily climb into the upper 70s to middle 80s throughout the state, with interior portions of the Peninsula reaching the upper 80s.
- A few isolated brief showers may be possible overnight across Northeast Florida and towards the I-4 corridor as the cold front pushes through (10-20% chance of rain).
- Low temperatures will fall into the upper 40s to middle 50s across North Florida and upper 50s to middle 60s across Central and South Florida overnight.
- A moderate risk for rip currents will continue for Panhandle and East Coast beaches, with a high risk along the eastern Panhandle.
