EOC Activation Level: Level 2
Meteorological Summary:
- Areas of fog throughout the Florida Big Bend and Suwannee River Valley will gradually dissipate mid to late this morning, giving way to a mixture of clouds and sun.
- A weak cold front entering the western Florida Panhandle will bring isolated showers to the I-10 corridor through the day as it moves eastward (20-30% chance of rain).
- This cold front is expected to stall across North Florida tonight, bringing slight rain chances to the Northeast Florida region overnight (15-25% chance of rain).
- Rain chances remain near zero throughout the remainder of the Sunshine State, leading to warming temperatures during the afternoon.
- Residual moisture will lead to the development of patchy to locally dense fog by early Wednesday morning; the greatest chance for dense fog looks to reside across the Florida Big Bend, Suwannee River Valley, and the interior Nature Coast.
- If plan on travelling for the Thanksgiving Holiday early Wednesday morning, low visibility could make driving conditions hazardous. Please slow down, use your low-beam headlights, and leave plenty of distance ahead of you.
- Lower relative humidity (35-45%) may produce locally sensitive wildfire conditions across interior portions of the Florida Peninsula; light winds this afternoon will limit the extent of wildfire activity.
- Minor riverine flooding continues along portions of the Withlacoochee and St. Johns rivers as excess water discharges through the basins.
- There is a moderate risk of rip currents for numerous Florida Panhandle and East-Central Florida beaches today.
- Tropical development is not expected across the Atlantic basin over the next 7 days.
