Meteorological Summary:
- One more day of dry and pleasant conditions as the southeastern U.S. high pressure slips eastward over the Atlantic (near 0-5% chance of rain).
- High temperatures in the 60s across North Florida and 70s elsewhere.
- Breezy conditions will begin to develop across South and Central Florida today with gusts reaching up to 15-20 mph.
- Scattered showers and thunderstorms can be expected in the Panhandle overnight as a frontal boundary approaches (25-60% chance of rain).
- Isolated strong to severe thunderstorms and isolated instances of localized flooding and ponding of water cannot be ruled out early Friday morning as the frontal boundary approaches.
- Elevated risk for rip currents along Panhandle and East Coast.
- Low temperatures in the 50s across North Florida, 60s in Central Florida, and upper 60s to middle 70s in South Florida.
- Today is the last official day of the Atlantic Hurricane Season!
