Meteorological Summary:
- Patchy to locally dense fog and low clouds stretch across much of the Sunshine State with Dense Fog Advisories extending through North Florida and along the West Coast through the mid-morning hours.
- Partly cloudy to mostly sunny skies can be expected across the northern regions of the state due to a stalled frontal boundary to the north.
- Isolated showers are possible across the Panhandle later this afternoon and evening as a slow-moving frontal boundary will dip into North Florida (15-30% chance of rain).
- An area of high pressure over the western Atlantic will continue to provide mostly sunny and dry conditions across the Peninsula, with a quick pop-up shower or two possible along Treasure Coast and Southeast Florida.
- A warm and moist air mass will remain in place across the state keeping temperatures above normal for this time of year.
- Foggy conditions return overnight and early Wednesday morning across much of the state.
- Persistent onshore flow will continue to keep an elevated risk for rip currents in place along Panhandle and Florida East Coast beaches.
- The Apalachicola River near Blountstown will rise into minor flood stage later this evening, where a River Flood Warning will go into effect.
