Florida State Watch Office Morning Situation Report

EOC Activation Level: Level 3
Meteorological Summary: 
  • A dry and cool frontal boundary has pushed through the western Panhandle and will continue to move southward through the Peninsula today.
  • Rain chances remain minimal statewide, however the Middle and Upper Keys could see some afternoon showers due to lingering low-level moisture.
  • Pleasant conditions again, with temperatures reaching into the mid-to-upper 80s statewide and mostly clear skies.
  • Patchy fog along portions of the Big Bend with some lingering low-level moisture.
  • Coastal Flooding:
    • Coastal Flood Warning remains in effect for Inland St. John’s, Flagler, Easter Clay, Eastern Duval and South-Central Duval counties due to lingering storm surge of 1-2’.
    • Coastal Flood Advisory is in effect for Coastal Duval county due to minor coastal flooding.
    • Coastal Flood Statement is in effect for Coastal Palm Beach, Broward, Miami-Dade, and Monroe Middle and Upper Keys counties due to minor saltwater and coastal flooding.

Many rivers in southwest and Central Florida under River Flood Warnings as they have reached major or historic flood status. These rivers are expected to remain their status for the next several days as they will begin to very slowly drain. The dry pattern for the next several days will help with draining and prevent these rivers from rising any further
