Florida State Watch Office Morning Situation Report

EOC Activation Level: Level 3

Meteorological Summary:

High pressure is back in place across the state and the heat wave has returned.
Only an isolated shower or thunderstorm is forecast today across the Panhandle and South Florida.
The heat and humidity will combine to make it feel like 95-105 degrees statewide.
Onshore flow will yield a moderate to high risk of rip currents along most Panhandle and Atlantic beaches today.
The wildfire threat will be elevated today, especially in Northeast Florida.
Tropical cyclone development is not expected over the next 5 days.
