Florida State Watch Office Morning Situation Report

EOC Activation Level: Level 3 - Monitoring

Meteorological Summary:

Periods of rain across the Panhandle and Big Bend today with an isolated thunderstorm.
Rain chances increase this afternoon and evening across Northeast and Central Florida with scattered showers and an isolated thunderstorm.
Showers this morning in Southeast Florida and the Keys transition into a few thunderstorms in Southwest Florida this afternoon.
Temperatures remain mild- highs today in the 60s, 70s, and 80s with low tonight in the 50s and 60s.
There is a high rip current risk for Southeast Florida beaches and a moderate rip current risk for Panhandle beaches and all other Atlantic beaches.
A River Flood Warning remains in effect for the Apalachicola River near Blountstown until further notice for minor flooding.
Lake Okeechobee average elevation is 12.93 feet, which is and estimated 1.67 feet below normal for this time of year.
