Florida State Watch Office Morning Situation Report

EOC Activation Level: Level 3 - Monitoring

Meteorological Summary:

Dense fog this morning will dissipate only to redevelop again tonight across most of the state.
Chances for showers and a few thunderstorms increase tonight in the western Panhandle.
Near record highs and heat indices in the upper 80s to lower 90s expected in the Peninsula.
There is a moderate to high rip current risk for Panhandle and most Atlantic beaches.
River Flood Warnings continue for parts of the Apalachicola and Choctawhatchee Rivers due to minor flooding.
Lake Okeechobee average elevation is 12.94 feet, which is 1.65 feet below normal for this time of year.
