Florida State Watch Office Morning Situation Report

EOC Activation Level: Level 3 - Monitoring

Meteorological Summary:

Increasing showers are expected today and tonight across the state with locally heavy rainfall possible in the Big Bend.
Isolated thunderstorms are possible in Northeast and Central Florida overnight.
There is a moderate to high rip current risk for the East Coast and a moderate risk for most Panhandle beaches.
A River Flood Warning remains in effect for the St. Johns River at Astor until further notice.
Minor coastal flooding is possible in Northeast Florida, Southeast Florida, and the Florida Keys.
Lake Okeechobee average elevation is 13.27 feet, which is 1.70 feet below normal for this time of year.
