Summary: A portion of Dixie County's landline and cellular phone service was out of service for almost 12 hours starting Wednesday afternoon. The exact cause of the outage is unknown. 9-1-1 service to the county's dispatch center was impacted, and all 9-1-1 call-taking operations were relocated to the county EOC. At around 0115 ET, service was restored to normal operation.
