Meteorological Summary:
- One more day of near record heat in the Panhandle and Big Bend.
- Cold front brings relief with scattered showers and thunderstorms expected across much of the state this afternoon.
- Low wildfire threat in the Panhandle and Big Bend due to drought conditions and low humidity.
- Minor flooding continues along the St. Johns River at Astor, and near high tide along the lower St. Johns.
- High risk of rip currents continues for all Atlantic beaches.
- Lake Okeechobee average elevation is 13.86 feet, which is 0.73 feet below normal for this time of year.
