Florida State Watch Office Morning Situation Report

EOC Activation Level: Level 3 - Monitoring 
 
Meteorological Summary:
  • Widespread flood threat has ended- seasonable rain chances today.
  • Best chance of thunderstorms this afternoon will be along and west of the I-75 corridor.
  • An area of low pressure off the coast of the Mid-Atlantic is not expected to develop into a tropical system as it continues to move out to sea.
  • Minor to moderate flooding is ongoing along several rivers in the western half of the Peninsula.
  • There is a moderate rip current risk for all Panhandle and Southeast Florida beaches today.
  • Lake Okeechobee average elevation is 13.06 feet, which is 0.99 feet below normal for this time of year. Lake levels continue to rise due to recent rainfall.
