Meteorological Summary:
  • Heat indices in North Florida rise again to 107-112Heat Advisories remain in effect.
  • Numerous showers and thunderstorms expected nearly statewide today.
  • There is a Marginal Risk of severe weather (level 1 of 5) across North Florida today, mainly late this afternoon and evening.
  • Flood Watches are in effect for West Central Florida through Friday morning.
  • River Flood Warnings continue for several West Central Florida rivers.
  • There is a moderate rip current risk for most Panhandle beaches.
  • Lake Okeechobee average elevation is 12.49 feet, which is 1.46 feet below normal for this time of year.
