Meteorological Summary:
  • Excessive Heat Warnings are in effect for the western Panhandle with Heat Advisories for the rest of North Florida.
  • Heat index values of 107-112 are expected across North Florida, but it may feel like 112-117 in the western Panhandle.
  • Scattered thunderstorms are possible across the state, with the best chance of rain being in the Peninsula.
  • Gusty winds, frequent lightning, and torrential downpours are possible in any strong to briefly severe storms.
  • River Flood Warnings continue for several West Central Florida rivers.
  • Lake Okeechobee average elevation is 12.38 feet, which is 1.55 feet below normal for this time of year.
