Meteorological Summary:
- Scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected over the Peninsula today with isolated activity in the Panhandle.
- A few strong storms cannot be ruled out in South Florida with gusty winds, frequent lightning, and heavy rainfall.
- There is a moderate rip current risk for most Atlantic beaches.
- The wildfire threat across the state is low.
- Lake Okeechobee average elevation is 11.12 feet, which is 2.06 feet below normal for this time of year.
