Meteorological Summary:
  • Scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected over the Peninsula today with isolated activity in the Panhandle.
  • A few strong storms cannot be ruled out in South Florida with gusty winds, frequent lightning, and heavy rainfall.
  • There is a moderate rip current risk for most Atlantic beaches.
  • The wildfire threat across the state is low.
  • Lake Okeechobee average elevation is 11.12 feet, which is 2.06 feet below normal for this time of year.
