Meteorological Summary:
- Scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms are expected statewide today.
- Any thunderstorms may contain frequent lightning, gusty winds, and heavy rainfall.
- A localized case of flash flooding is possible today, particularly in the Big Bend where localized rain amounts may top 4”.
- There is a moderate to high rip current risk for all Panhandle beaches.
- The wildfire threat remains moderate statewide, but fuel moisture is generally increasing.
- Lake Okeechobee average elevation is 10.99 feet, which is 2.16 feet below normal for this time of year.
